In order to best partner with parents during this time, we've put together some resources for you to use with your family. Resources for Children (Toddlers & Elementary) & Middle Schoolers is available below. High Schoolers will be meeting with DCE Abi regularly online.
What can we use as children’s resources during this pandemic?
We have prepared a list of printable and video-based resources that will help parents teach the Bible to their children at home and lead family devotions.

How should I use it?
Once you create your profile, you’ll be able to see many options that are available to you in the library. Please see our suggestions for videos and how to use them below:
Devotions (for families with toddlers or elementary-aged children):
We recommend Phil Vischer’s, “Philippians- Where Does Joy Come From?” You can find it in the category labeled “Family Devotional Studies.” In 8-10 minute segments, your family will walk through the whole Book of Philippians and learn how God gives us His joy, even in the hardest circumstances.
At the end of each video, there are questions to review what you’ve learned. Use this worksheet with video questions and activities that correlate with each episode.
(We recommend using this as a daily devotion for two weeks. Take your time and talk through the questions after watching the video. Use the suggested activities at the bottom of the worksheet, or create your own!)
With the change of routine, we know that your kids probably want more screen-time right now. We have some options for engaging shows that bring Bible stories to life in creative ways. You can find these in the category labeled “Popular Kids’ Shows.”
For toddlers, the show “BOZ: Bananas, Bubbles and Busy Bodies” teaches kids how to care for God’s creation- the world, our friends, and our bodies. There are 3, 15-minute episodes.
For elementary students, the show “Superbook” is a great resource. Each episode is about 30 minutes and highlights a popular Bible story. There are 13 episodes in Season 1.
What can we use for Middle Schoolers during this pandemic?
We'll be going through the "Rooted" video-series with our Middle Schoolers for 3 weeks as we navigate all the recent changes in our lives. Read the Parent Cue worksheet for a summary of the series and some related activities you can do around your home.

The Bible Project is a tool we regularly use on Sundays that is a class favorite. Subscribe to their weekly emails here, and you’ll receive a video with discussion questions and Scripture readings for the week. We recommend this as a daily devotion.
